Responsibility for the plight of the Palestinian refugees is no secret.

Recorded documentation over a 55 year period prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that both Arabism [Arab Nationalism] and Palestinian Leaders are responsible for waging war; creating the refugee problem; and intentionally prolonging the suffering and refugee status of the Palestinian people.

Fatah

Not only the Fatah, but Arab leaders and media have unabashedly admitted that the refugee issue and right of return are being used as a means to destroy Israel. Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser told an interviewer on September 1, 1961
"If the refugees return to Israel, Israel will cease to exist."

The ultimate goal of Yasser Arafat and his PLO was not a Two State Solution but the eventual destruction of the State of Israel - a fellow member of the United Nations
- via a 10 point Phased Plan

The PLO Phased Plan in brief:

1. Through the "armed struggle" (i.e., terrorism), to establish an "independent combatant national authority" over any territory that is "liberated" from Israeli rule. (Article 2)
2. To continue the struggle against Israel, using the territory of the national authority as a base of operations. (Article 4)
3. To provoke an all-out war in which Israel's Arab neighbors destroy it entirely ("liberate all Palestinian territory"). (Article 8)
   

To that end the contrived self-victimized suffering of the Palestinians has been exacerbated, exploited and employed as a tactic of war to claim the moral high ground and subsequently, unwarrented international sympathy.

Advocating the recognition of and peace with Israel is not a permitted option; not in Fundamental Islamism ; not in Arab Nations; and especially not under the tight brutal control of the Palestinian Authority/PLO i.e. Yasser Arrafat

The evidence provided by the public statements of Arab and Palestinian Leaders for over half a century belie the myths, lies and propaganda that are the constant fare the media offers ..

In 1995, Yasser Arafat told Arab diplomats stationed in Stockholm, Sweden of the PLO plan:

"..To eliminate the State of Israel and establish a purely Palestinian state. We will make life unbearable for Jews by psychological warfare and population explosion; Jews won't want to live among us Arabs."

Azzam Pasha

"ON JUNE 8, 1951, Habib Issa, secretary-general of the Arab League, wrote in the New York Lebanese daily al-Hoda that in 1948, Azzam Pasha, then League , warned the Arabs of Palestine..

From the very beginning,
the persistent Arab strategy was to keep the refugees in the camps.

“In order to keep the refugee issue alive and prevent Israel from evading responsibility for their plight, Arab countries - with the notable exception of Jordan - have usually sought to preserve a Palestinian identity by maintaining the Palestinians’ status as refugees”

Jewish leaders urged the Arabs to remain in Palestine and become citizens of Israel.

The Assembly of Palestine Jewry issued this appeal on October 2, 1947:

"We will do everything in our power to maintain peace, and establish a cooperation gainful to both [Jews and Arabs]. It is now, here and now, from Jerusalem itself, that a call must go out to the Arab nations to join forces with Jewry and the destined Jewish State and work shoulder to shoulder for our common good, for the peace and progress of sovereign equals."

The Tragedy of Refugees is not unique to the Palestinians

• 590,000 Arab refugees fled from Israel (1948)
• 800,000 Jewish refugees expelled or fled from Muslim lands.(1948)
• In the 1950s there were 60 million refugees in the free world, Palestinians comprised less than 1 percent of the total.

In the Middle East the emigré Arabs in effect represented a population exchanged for the Jewish refugees from Muslim lands.

Arab countries blockaded and rejected Arab refugees, refusing to assimilate them.
