You’ve got to hand it to them, their enthusiasm for the demonising of Jews and Israel never wanes!
In Scotland, by “them” of course we mean people of influence, such as politicians, academics, medical professionals and, perhaps the most influential of all, the Church of Scotland and their associated agencies. (cont'd)

Palestine Solidarity Campaign Support for Hamas

The PSC has openly and repeatedly made clear its support for Hamas. In October 2010, PSC representatives met with Mahmoud Al-Zahar, a Hamas leader in Gaza, who has made deeply homophobic and anti-Semitic comments. (full article)

Church of Scotland LogoChurch of Scotland joins the Anti-Semitic Circle

The Date of Infamy speech was delivered by United States President Franklin D. Roosevelt to a Joint Session of Congress on 8 December 1941, one day after Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor Naval Base. It achieved that title from the first line of the speech when Roosevelt described the previous day as "a date which will live in infamy." An hour after, Congress had passed a formal declaration of war against Japan and brought the U.S. as combatant into World War II.

July 16, 2014 is another day that could also qualify as a Date of Infamy.  If claims by the extremist and anti-Semitic fringe group Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign (SPSC) are true, it was then that the Church of Scotland (CoS) formally joined their anti-Semitic circle. (full article)

SPSC – An Offer You Can’t Refuse.

Stills Gallery, Edinburgh is displaying photographic works by international artists in an exhibition entitled A Thousand of Him, Scattered.

The gallery invited existing and new sponsors to participate, and gratefully accepted a donation of £1300 from the Israeli London Embassy, part of its support for Israeli artists' work abroad. Stills added the embassy logo to their published list of sponsors.

It did not take long for the anti-Israel brigade to act. The gallery began receiving phone calls and emails threatening to disrupt the exhibition unless the Israeli Embassy participation was rebuffed. (full article)

Christians suffering in Middle_east

Recent reports emanating from the Middle East highlight attacks on Christian buildings in Gaza and extortion taxes on Christian communities in Syria. Under the control of the Palestinian Authority, the Christian share of the population of Bethlehem has shrunk from a high of 85% (1989) to just 7% (2013).
Since the Scottish Parliament was formed in 1999, to date 145 motions presented to the Parliament have contained references (usually hostile) to Israel’s defence against terror. Only 2 (two) motions, both recent, have expressed any concern for the fate of Christian communities suffering under Arab duress. Does Scotland care?

Boycott, what Boycott?

On December 19, 2013 the Scottish local council, Highland Regional Council, was asked by a Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign (SPSC) affiliated councillor to consider a motion to implement a boycott of Israel. The motion was presented in the following terms..

Jews and Arabs can care for one another

On November 5, 2013, Larry Rich, Director of Development and International Public Relations at Emek Medical Clinic/Hospital in Afula, Israel graphically described to an audience of over 60 in the Scottish Parliament the work at his hospital and the care given to all patients - Arabs, Jews, Christians, Muslims, Circassians and others – without distinction

The Church of Scotland
– Institutionally anti-Semitic?

The Church of Scotland apparently anti-Semitic document – The Inheritance of Abraham, a report on the Promised Land, has come in for renewed criticism, this time not from the Scottish Jewish community, but from a well-respected Christian group.
